Our condolences to the Goertzen family at the passing of your father and grandfather. He represents a very important link to the past for me. When we had first arrived in Canada he had somehow connected with our family in Steinbach, Man. Where he had located my workplace:Resthaven(old folks home), One day he came to to that place and asked for me and introduced himself as my cousin. In
South
America we had no Goertzen cousins as our grandfather had been the only one from that family to emigrate, so it was very important for us to meet someone in Canada from our family. We had somehow lost the connection to your family but came across this obit.
