Dear Mr. Ungaro and all your family,
I was very sorry to learn of the passing of Joyce. Although I didn’t know you well, I do remember that your names (the names of Rudy and Joyce Ungaro were household names around our home in Salmo. I know you both meant a lot to both my parents and I am so sorry I didn’t know you were both still alive and so close because I know my mother (Jessie Middleton) would probably have loved to have seen you. She is still alive and lives in Abbotsford. She is now 94 and I will pass Joyce’s full obituary on to her.It was she that noticed the abbreviated one in the paper. Perhaps she will get in touch with you. Our condolences to all your family. Sincerely, Kathie (Middleton) McGillivray (Surrey, BC)

Dear Janice,
I was saddened to read about the passing of your mom. What a great lady and what a privilege to have known her. The people I help always enrich my life, but your mom sure had an extra special place in my heart. I am reminded of her whenever I look at my china cabinet and see her crystal swan.
I also admired the commitment you had in looking out for your mom; it takes a special lady to raise such a devoted and loving daughter.
I am hoping to see you next Saturday, October 23.
