It’s been 3 years and my son still is leading the way. Many of his friend tell me about his influence on their lives and it is so moving to hear the stories. I love seeing new photos of him that I’ve not seen before. It’s like he’s just moved away home to start his own life elsewhere. Miss you my boy. I think of you everyday and still sing our song.
And if I say
I really knew you well what would your answer be?
If you were here today.
Here today.
But knowing you.
You’ld probably laugh and say that we are worlds apart.
If you were here today.
Here today.
But as for me.
I still remember how it was before.
I am holding back the tears no more.
I loved you.
What about the first time we met.
Well I suppose you could say that we were playing hard to get.
Didn’t understand a thing but I could always sing.
What about the night I cried
Becuase there wasn’t any reason left to keep it all inside.
Never understood a word
But you were always there with a smile.
And if I say,
I really loved you and was glad you came along
If you were here today.
For your in my song.
Here Today
Love you Sonny Boy

Dear Bev, Karl, Krissy, Joeanna, Rosie, and Jennettia.
I am soooo sorry for your loss. I am grateful to have grown up as your neighbor. You always welcomed me into your home. Your son/brother was truly a kind soul. I now realize you dont realize there is an angel walking amoung us till they leave for a new journey. I was glad to have been able to work with Carl III in KDC everday while we worked with in lythics. I remember trying to win Metallica tickets. We really thought we had them. I got to share alot of laughs with him and he will always be in my heart. I will never forget Carl because he really did touch my soul everytime i saw him. Cause he had those caring eyes that acepted everyone he knew. And to Mary, you were truly a great girlfriend and if i never became a close friend to you recently I wouldnt have been able to spend so much time with carl in his last days so thanks for being a great friend and sharing the time i had with carl in his last months of his life. I love you all and it will take time. We will see carl again on the other side. Keep on rocking carl love you

Bev, Karl & Family:
Our hearts and our prayers are with you at this difficult time. Loss is never easy, even more difficult when it’s a child. When we lost our grand-daughter last November, we took comfort from the poem that follows. I hope it helps a little.
Much love,
Richard, Terrie-Leah, Cory & Cameron
“I’ll lend you for a little while,
a child of mine” He said.
“For you to love the while he lives
and mourn for when he’s dead.
It may be ten or eleven years,
or twenty-two or three,
but will you, ‘til I come to call
take care of him for me?
He’ll bring his charms to gladden you
and should his days be brief,
you’ll have his lovely memory
as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay
Since all from earth return,
but there are lessons taught down there
I wish this child to learn.
I’ve looked this wide world over
in my search for teachers true
and from the throngs that crowd life’s lanes
I have selected you.
Now will you give him all your love,
not think the labor vain,
nor hate me when I come to call
to take him back again?”
I fancied that I heard them say,
“Dear Lord, Thy will be done.
For all the joys this child shall bring,
the risk of grief we’ll run.
We’ll shower him with tenderness,
and love him while we may,
and for the happiness we’ve known,
forever grateful stay.
And should your angels call for him
much sooner than we’d planned,
we’ll brave the bitter grief that comes
and try to understand.”

Karl, I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your son. I wish I had words that would offer you and your wife some comfort. If the kindness you show towards your colleagues at work is only a fraction of the love you have for your family, then your son was indeed a well loved man. My thoughts and prayers are for you and yours.
God bless.
