Obituary of Charlotte Joyce McCutcheon

With great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Charlotte Joyce McCutcheon of Pitt Meadows on April 9th, 2010 at the age of 98 years old. She was 20 days short of 99 years old. Mom went to school in Ridgedale and then later on to Business College in Vancouver B.C. She married Robert G. McCutcheon on May 5th, 1939 and then became “Mom” to 4 children over the next 9 years. She worked as a secretary for the Probation Office in Abbotsford BC and then later worked as a secretary for the Regional Director of Human Recourses until she retired at age 65 years old. In 1982 Mom went to live with her oldest son George and family. In 2003 Mom and George moved to Pitt Meadows from Vancouver Island. She peacefully passed away in her sleep at the Maple Ridge Seniors Retirement Village surrounded by family. She was pre-diseased by her Mother, Father, 6 Brothers and 1 Sister. She is survived by her 3 sons; George, William (Della), Jack (Gloria) and 1 daughter Josephine, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. We would like to thank all of the staff at Maple Ridge Seniors Village for the wonderful care that Mom received from everyone. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, May 8th 2010 at 1:30pm at Garden Hill Funeral Home, address: 11765 224th Street, Maple Ridge B.C In lieu of flowers you can make a donation to your favorite charity.
