‘Murle was a true friend’
If you ever needed help, he was there, if you needed a ride, he would pick you up, if you just wanted to talk, he would listen.
I had the good fortune of meeting Murle about 38 years ago, we’ve been good friends ever since.
He was the driving force of us doing so many great things over the years, we traveled to the Spatsizi plateau, parts of the north that not very many people will ever see, crossing the Black water river on a 3 wheel trike and falling over backwards into the icy waters, and joking about it only to have our cloths freeze until it was hard to walk. Summertime camping with both Murle and Marge, playing Bocce ball in the forest only to have a squirrel try to run away with our ball! Many days and nights invited over for dinner’s and bbq’s, playing cards and darts, always great times!
The memories are many and we will always enjoy them.
Most of all Murle was a wonderful person to be with, he was down to earth, loved his family, had a great sense of humor, and an infectious laugh. Our hearts are heavy, we will miss him. Our deepest sympathies go out to Marge, Shelly, Brent and all their families’.

Murle was always a gentleman… i will remember him with great fondness as we spent so many years together with him and Margie throughout Murle’s softball career… he will remain one of the top pitchers ever… Murle was so charming and it has been my pleasure to have known him… i can just visualize the big celebration as he is greeted by so many that have left this earth before him… thanks for the memories, Murle… til we meet again

It is with much sadness that I feel in hearing of the passing of Murle. He was a great guy and a good friend. I cherish the many memories of all of us partying, playing cards the numerous suppers and all of us laughing and joking together. Also the many Super Bowl,Grey Cup and Stanley Cup playoffs we watched at the Johnson home. Always followed by his Great Spaghetti meatball dinners with his Great sauce. Also the few years we played Softball together. It was easy playing in the infield when Murle was pitching because he struck out so many batters. When I think of Murle I see this big strong man with the big grin and hearty laugh. He liked to have fun with friends. We all enjoyed the many fun filled times with him. My condolences to Marge,Shelley and Brent and all the Johnson family. Terry Hall
