Obituary of Robert Earl Conn

December 11, 1923 – March 3, 2017 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Earl who died peacefully in Langley BC at the age of 93, the last of his generation in our family. Dad/Earl had a long and healthy life with just a few bumps the past couple of years. He was fortunate to maintain his independence and was still driving his sporty red Cadillac right up to the end. He will be greatly missed by Shirley, his dear friend & loving wife of 10 years, son Terry, daughter-in-law Gay, grandsons Carson & Tanner, as well as Shirley’s family Trish, Shawn, Sienna & Gunnar. Dad/Earl was predeceased by his beloved, first wife of 59 years Anne, grandson Clay, brothers Harvey, Ivor, Elwood, and sisters Faye, & Marjorie. Earl was born in Vancouver and spent much of his childhood on the move in the Prairies with his family, returning to Port Moody in 1964, then finally residing in Langley for the past 25 years. Earl was a kind, gentle, friendly and generous man who was respected by all he met. He took great joy in his time spent with family and friends enjoying the simple pleasures of being together. He led by example and had a strong work ethic that influenced others around him. After returning from his service to the war effort he worked with the Singer Sewing Machine company for most of his adult life, and held a district managers position before retiring. Earl will be remembered by all, as he positively touched the lives of everyone he met. He will be greatly missed. A celebration of life will be held Saturday March 18, 1:00 PM at the clubhouse, Glenwood Village Estates, 21746 – 52nd Avenue, Langley.
