All my life I knew her as Shirley. As one of my Mom's dearest friends, she was kind, funny, elegant and gracious. When she was featured on television, sharing her gift as the "Horse Whisperer", I couldn't believe she was so brave to speak freely and openly about something that was still so... unknown. This is the memory I will keep forever, she was a lady who had the courage to be herself. I cry for you now, wishing I could be there to share the day with your family and friends, but you know my heart is with you. I know Mom will be there, at the door on the other side, waiting to welcome you home. Sending strength, blessings and love... from all of us... the Katona family.
