Obituary of Irene Rebecca Dyer

After 93 beautiful years, our beloved Mother, sister, friend , Grandma and GG joined the angels peacefully on January 4, 2022.

Irene was born in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba where she was raised with her three siblings, Edna(Don), Clarence(Inga), and Betty(Larry). The Mills family later moved to Rivers, Manitoba where she met her best friend Reta and the other members of the Dyer clan. When the Dyer family relocated to Agassiz, Irene took a hand in fate and followed them. It was then, through pure serendipity, that she met her soulmate, Orville L. Dyer. The two were married for 72 years and enjoyed spending time together golfing and basking in the sunshine of Hawaii or Palm Springs.

Irene was predeceased by her beloved husband and other half of her heart, Orville L. Dyer on November 14, 2018 and her eldest son , John "Jack" Dyer on August 4, 2004.

Irene was a devoted mother to her four beautiful children Sharon (Ian), Jack , Roger (Maggie) and Robin(Gerald). She took great pride and joy in her 8 grandchildren Shaun, Tara (Jason), Lydia (Joel), Andrew, Shelagh (Ben), Jessica,Laura (Justin), Kathleen, as well as her five great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Jason, Chloe, Owen, and Oliver.

If you close your eyes just for a minute and embrace the memories we share , you can most definitely see her wrapped in her ever-present pearls and that perfectly coiffed hair. We can hear her in her favourite heels walking along the kitchen floor, humming her original " bee-bop" tunes as we walked through the door. We can see the never-empty candy dish and smell the Sunday lunch cheese buns for the grands. We can feel the years of love as we hold those perfectly nail polished hands.
There's a whisper in our heart: she has returned to her heavenly home "Orv, I'm finally here"
