What a wonderful person uncle Gord was. He was such a strong and kind man, and will be dearly missed by anyone who knew him. Courtney and Jeremy still talk about the tractor wagon rides at the family picnic. We will all miss you so much, and will hold on to the great memories of times our family had with him. Sincere condolences,
Jason, Kim, Courtney, Jeremy

We miss you, Dad. You were always there for us and did an amazing job of looking out for us and providing for your family. I will always admire your work ethic, your ability to fix just about everything, your sentimentality and love of tradition, and your organizational skills. You always knew precisely where every tool, nut or bolt, or dahlia post or label was specifically kept. And made sure everything was put away properly.
You will live on in the many great memories left behind. I remember before family reunions you would secretly go out first thing in the morning to collect chicken eggs, bring them inside to wash them off, and then put them back before any nieces or nephews showed up so that when they ‘helped’ collect the eggs they were always clean and didn’t get any chicken poop on their hands. The fresh baked buns you made. Giving rides on the lawnmower. Making flower arrangements (I know, who would have known) to decorate the house before holidays. Your ability to look after not only your own 5 acres, but for awhile, grandma’s property as well. You took great pride in your garden, and especially enjoyed showing off your dahlias and then handing them out as bouquets. Not letting us turn on the furnace and when we complained, lovingly telling us “you’re not cold, you’re stupid”. :). Beer o’clock with you on your patio. Camping at Scot Lake and being out on the boat fishing with you first thing each morning. You made a big impact on so many, and I am proud to be your son. You will not, cannot, be forgotten. I may not have said it enough, but I love you, Dad.
