Laurette Marie (Grimard) Fortier

 

Born July 2, 1931, Prud’Homme Saskatchewan

Deceased June 21, 2022, Maple Ridge, British Columbia

 

Laurette was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Germain, her Parents, Joseph and Georgina Grimard, her brothers John, Gerry, Louis, and her sister Cecile.

 

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Cheryl (John Alexander), her son Ron (Sandra) her grandchildren Kevin, Shannon (Stephen Panylo), Rachelle, Deanna (Jeff Chene), Keri (Lyle Brown) her great grandchildren Annabelle, Adeline and Oliver Panylo, and her sister Simone (Andre Levesque).

 

Laurette was a woman of great faith and was very involved in her church and in the Catholic Women’s League.  The most important thing to Laurette was her family.

 

Prayer Vigil service will be held at St. Patrick’s Parish, 22561 – 121 Ave., Maple Ridge, BC, on June 26, 2022 at 7:00 pm and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on June 27, 2022 at 11:00 am, officiated by Rev. Paul Goo and Deacon Ron Fortier.

 

Special thanks to the wonderful staff at McKenney Creek Hospice, Maple Ridge for their care and compassion, and to all of you who took special care of Laurette when Cheryl and Ron couldn’t be there.
