Obituary of Lorna June Davison

Lorna Davison went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 4, 2023. Her family was by her side as she breathed her last and was ushered into heaven.

She was born into the Fuller family in 1934 and spent all of her childhood and most of her adult life in Maple Ridge. She was the middle child of Bill and Vivian Fuller who founded Fuller Watson department store in 1924. Lorna committed her heart to the Lord as a young child and never wavered in her faith all her years on this earth. She had tenacity, spunk and courage as a kid and held on to those traits all through her life. As her sister Bev said, "She was the bravest person I've ever known!"

Lorna married her childhood sweet-heart George Davison in 1956 and over the years they were blessed with 5 children, 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Life on the farm had its ups and downs, blessings and challenges and George and Lorna were committed to raising their children upon the tenants of faith and love, hard work and perseverance.

During all those years Lorna was a faithful member of Maple Ridge Baptist Church, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school and serving wherever there was a need. She was the model of a godly woman.

In her later years, when newer memories were fading, key verses of scripture and words of cherished hymns were forever embedded in her mind and easy to recall. Two weeks before she passed to glory, all five of her children were in her room singing the great hymns of the faith. Mom was singing right along; she knew every word!

She will be remembered as a faithful servant of Christ, a kind and loving wife, mother and grandma, and a true friend to all who knew her. We mourn the loss of her here on earth but know that we will be reunited again in glory.

Celebration of Life to be held at 1:00pm, on Wednesday, June 14th at the Ridge Church, 22155 Lougheed Hwy, Maple Ridge.
