It is with immense sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Chace Layne Nicol in Pitt Meadows, B.C. at the young age of 12 years.  Chace was predeceased by his grandfather, Ken Nicol, his Uncle Jordan Nicol and Aunt Leah Nyrose.  He is survived by his loving parents, Darren and Carrie, brother Colby; grandparents, Walter and Nora Rogers; grandmother, Marguerite Nicol; Uncle Wayne (Linda) Rogers; Aunties, Debbie (Ken) Moore; Crystal Nicol; Kim (Orlando) Boker; and special cousins, Brodie, Jessica (Josh); Connor and Jacob.

Chace was born at Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, B.C. and resided with his family in Pitt Meadows.  He was a much loved and talented son with the most infectious smile, great sense of humor and everyone loved to be around him. He was passionate about playing football with the Meadow Ridge Knights, playing the drums, going hunting and fishing with his dad and wrestling with his brother.  He enjoyed camping trips with his family, going to Disneyland with his aunt and uncle, and other fun vacations with his special friends, Kaden and Hudson.

Chace’s family extends their deepest gratitude to Emergency Services who responded to the accident as well as to the entire Pitt Meadows Community and others, including all of the football organizations and the teachers and students of School District 42 for their love, kindness, and support. 

A Celebration of Life for Chace will be held at The Ridge Baptist Church, 22155 Lougheed Hwy., Maple Ridge B.C. on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 3:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Vancouver Children’s Hospital.

Chace’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.  He was a beautiful, precious boy gone way too soon.
