My wife and I knew Ziggy, as did many in the neighborhood, from our walks and bumping into him. We walked with two dogs and he would regularly join us. He told us of his life, his family, his career and I enjoyed my time with him. I would look for him on our walks. He also told me of his hikes to the local mountains but often wasn't sure what mountain or lake he had hiked to. Being a volunteer with search and rescue I decided to give him a map of the local area so he knew where he was going. I always wondered if we would get a call to look for him. I was very saddened to hear of his passing. I am so sorry for your loss and I know his presence in the neighborhood will be missed dearly. I know I will miss his smile and our discussions. It was an pleasure to get to know him. Please accept our condolences. He was a very special person, I hope you know that.

La famille Choquet tient à offrir ses plus sincères condoléances et son soutien à Manon, Maxime et Alexia ainsi qu’à tous les proches de Zbigniew. Malgré la distance qui nous sépare, nous sommes présents de cœur et d’esprit en ces moments-difficiles. Nous avons eu la chance de connaître Zbigniew, un homme de peu de mots mais doté d’un cœur immense et des valeurs familiales plus que présentes.
