Obituary of Blair Gordon Wilson

WILSON - Blair Gordon  

68 years old, married almost 49 years to Jolene Wilson.

Born Sep 12, 1955 in Kincaid, Saskatchewan. Passed away June 4, 2024 at RCH, of complications from a heart attack.

Blair is predeceased by parents, Arthur Murray Wilson and Ruby Dorothy (nee Hagar) Wilson, grandson Jeremy Blair Wilson (2014), and niece Johnny-Lynne Sarah Patterson (2008).

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, his Children; James Wilson. Wife Jaime Wilson (West) – Leandra, Elijah, Caidy, Olivia, Erik.

Jason Wilson. Wife Cheryl Wilson (McKenzie). Alexander, Jeremy -deceased, Colin, Norah.

Thomas Wilson. Wife Jennifer Wilson (Roy). Philip, Ian, Claire. 

His siblings; Donna Wintemute (Wilson). Husband Dave. Children Shannah, Laurene, Jennifer, Amanda and 9 grandchildren.

Kevin Wilson. Wife Cathy. Children Andrew and Michael and 4 grandchildren 

Gavin Wilson. Wife Ruby. Children Sonia and Daniel.

Stacey Patterson (Wilson). Husband John. Child Johnny-Lynne Sarah Deceased 2008.

Blair’s interests and hobbies included, Baseball, his son’s or grandchildren’s and The Blue Jays. Some of our fondest memories of Dad are at a baseball field watching and coaching our children or watching the Blue Jays games. Blair loved to travel to Saskatchewan, Quebec, Maui and the USA. He enjoyed reading books like the Bible, cooking, BBQing and walking the beaches, hiking, playing pool with his wife, sons & grandchildren, gardening, entertaining friends and family at their home in White Rock, Peace Portal Alliance Church, and Jesus Christ his Savior.

In his working years he worked in the Information Technology and Computer Science/Programming sectors. He was instrumental in programming some of the first ATM’s in Regina in the 1980s. Later he worked with WorkSafe BC as an IT director.

Funeral service and interment will be held at the Gardens of Gethsemani Cemetery on June 19th. Funeral will begin at 11:00 am in the Evangelist Chapel, followed by interment in the cemetery immediately following.
