Michael Gennings posted a condolence

I realize it has been several months since Bill's passing but I wanted to share my condolences nonetheless.
Bill's older sister was my Great-Aunt Mary (Mary Gennings).
I met Bill on occasion in the 1980s and in the early 1990s during his visits to Ontario to see Mary.
And I know he hosted Mary and my grandmother during a visit in the latter part of the 1970s.
We lost touch with the Mitchell clan after Aunt Mary died in 1994.
Again, my deepest sympathy. I know Aunt Mary always spoke highly of brother Bill.
Regards,
Michael Gennings.

Bill was a great source and knowledge for those of us who starting out in the fire service. He was encouraging and helpful, always there to offer a bit of advice when he thought it was needed. His Family should be proud of his achievements and accomplishments.
I feel privileged to have met and for a brief time served with Bill as part of the MRVFD.
Our lives are richer for having known Him,
Sincerely
Capt. Ken Kelleway, (retired)

To the Mitchell Family,
I have known you all for almost all of my life, and your Dad was always, to me, smiling and enjoying life. He and my Dad had a long friendship. I will always remember my trip to Saltspring Island..what fun!
My thoughts are with you all.
