I’ve been googling names of people I went to school with. So sad to see that Brian passed away in 2015. He was always a fun kid to hang out with. We went to Mayfair School in Saskatoon.

Brian and I were in the same high school class for 4 years 9A, 10A, 11A, and 12A which meant we were considered the smart kids ! … So we saw each other every week day for 4 years… He loved to tease me and sometimes unmercifully. He was always full of confidence and energy. I spoke to him once after that and he had just recently lost his wife, which sounded so very hard on him. I always envied how easily he made friends and could command a room. I think standing up to his teasing a few times made me stronger and more confident myself. So goodbye, big guy. You will be missed.

More of a bully than a teaser imo. But he made amends to so many of us later so there’s that. I wonder now that it wasn’t an abundance of confidence rather than a lack of it that made Brian attack us. I ran into him years later and he was lovely.

We knew Brian when he lived in Saskatoon with his mom and dad and attended high school there. It was always a fun time and a good laugh when “the boys” got together. Brian was always good for a laugh, either with his comments or a joke he was telling. We spent many weekends together with Brian and Deb before their move to BC.
Mark & Robb, it has been many years since I have seen you boys. Obviously you have grown up to become fine gentleman, a tribute to your mom and dad. Our condolences go out to both of you as well as to extended family.

We knew Brian well back in the 70’s and always appreciated his fun loving personality and ability to make friends easily. I remember the times that we had together and fondly think of memories we shared.

Deb Davison; Brian and I worked together at Carter Honda around 1990. I remember him well, he learned about his wife’s illness while he worked there…He shared some of what he was going through… I had a lot of respect for him as a CMA . At that time he was very concerned about his kids (naturally)because of his wife’s illness. I remember thinking how wonderful to love your family so much. It’s been many years since I’ve seen him but had to express my sadness in hearing he had passed.
My heart to out to his family….

Mark & Robb,
Sorry to hear the news about your loss. Over the years of knowing you all I learned how close you all really were and how you were always there for each other. He was a very colorful character and always enjoyed my conversations with him as they were never boring and always to the point, but with a smile. Will always remember our talks and the smile! Thinking of you. Terry

To the Mark, Robb and family…with our heartfelt condolences. Laurie and I are so sorry for the loss of your Dad. He was a great friend to many, certainly enriched our journey and will forever be a part of our lives. When someone passes they become a memory and the memory becomes a gift to those who remain. Brian will be truly missed but left us with some great gifts.

We knew both Brian and Debra. I knew Brian back in the “saskatoon” days. Then we all lived in Regina until we moved to Moose Jaw in 1980. The news of Brian’s passing was a shock to us. Brian had been out of our lives for some time, but he was never forgotten! Garry Boese
