Obituary of Terry Dawn Ducharme

It is with great Sadness the family of Terry Dawn Ducharme announces her passing after a hard fought battle with cancer. Terry left this world on Friday, January 18, 2019 at the age of 70. Terry will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Olive Elizabeth,”Betty” Klein, Her father, Joseph Klein, her brother, Don (Joan) Klein, nephews, Kenton, Ricky, Niece Colleen and their families. Terry will also be fondly remembered by her Uncles, Aunts , cousins and the many friends she made throughout her life. Terry was born in Oxbow Saskatchewan March 28, 1948 and attended school there. In the early 1960s Terry left for Toronto and graduated from Brunos School of Hair Design. She returned to Oxbow and opened a salon there. Terry was well known for her hair designs and while there did fashion shows which she not only did the hair but also sewed the clothes for the shows. Terry moved back to Toronto for some time before moving to Regina and setting up a salon there. Terry then moved to Vancouver where she worked for many years at a salon downtown. From there she moved to Maple Ridge where she worked at Cutting Image Hair Designs until she retired. While in Maple Ridge Terry lived on a small acreage and was happiest when she was in her garden with her dog, cats, goats and chickens. From Maple Ridge Terry moved to Mission where she bought her house and enjoyed many years there in a beautiful garden filled with flowers of all kinds. Terry was very artistic throughout her life and had a very good eye for design. She was very talented not only in hair design but sewed designer clothes, upholstered her furniture and at times did her own carpentry. A Memorial service for Terry will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 at Garden Hill Cremation and & Funeral Services, 11765 – 224th Street, Maple Ridge, B.C. Interment to follow at Maple Ridge Cemetery
