To the Slater family, I’m very sorry for your loss. No matter how much time passes we still feel the loss of our loved ones and view death as God does, an enemy. (1 Corinthians 15:26) May you find comfort and strength in his promise at Revelation 21:3,4 that shows soon there will be no more death, and we can see our loved ones again. Please accept my deepest condolences.

I did not know Kirsten well, but I do know her siblings – outstanding boys – Danny, Corey not withstanding our Ryan, their mother Lynn, Grandparents Les and Joan and much loved children Alexis and Tyler. I saw your love and care for her and for her children. I feel your grief for this tragic loss. From the vast distant seas that part us, we extend our sympathy to you and your families.

Lynn and Family,
I cannot begin to feel the loss and pain your family is going through at this time. Kirsten was such a beautiful girl. I didn’t know her well but I did see her often during her growing up years. She was never without a smile, was quick to laugh and was easy to talk to. The times she was at our house with Alexis and Tyler showed her love and devotion to her kids. I know you will all miss her in your lives.
My words cannot be of much comfort to you. Just know that I am here for you for anything you may need.

In this tough time in your life, may our friendship, sympathy and heartfelt condolences bring you comfort. Know you are not alone in your grief. Going through this is the hardest thing you will ever have to do and could take a lifetime to achieve, but slowly, you will realize you are healing, that you do grow from your loss, .You realize the future may even hold some happiness. But it can be a very slow process. I believe that something positive will come out of something so overwhelmingly negative. Many of us become better people, more patient, understanding, loving and compassionate. We owe it to ourselves and to Kirstens memory to make something out of the life we’ve been given. Time is a great healer.
Juanita would not want Larry & I to wallow in grief forever. Kirsten would not want that for you either. When the depression lifts, we realize life awaits us. Having gone through a childs loss we know the hurt.
