Obituary of Encarnacion Ledic

Encarnacion (Nita, Encarnita) Ledic (nee Carrion), was born November 2, 1929 (but always celebrated October 30^th) and was peacefully and finally reunited with the love of her life on May 20,2023. Her beloved husband of 48 years, Josip Ledic, died in 2017, and Nita spent the last six years looking forward to seeing him in heaven.

Nita came to Canada in 1960 along with a dear friend, from Spain. She stayed in Ottawa (and area) until 1965, when she headed west.  Nita lived a fulfilling life as a daughter, sister, auntie, wife, mom, yaya and friend.

She was an avid gardener, and every year had the most amazing roses.  She loved knitting, playing Yahtzee and more recently could be found doing puzzles, playing bingo, walking, and watching Jeopardy at her home in the Maple Ridge Seniors Village.

She is survived by her daughter Marcia (Kevin) and three grandchildren, Cody, Alex, and Jordyn.  Nita was also beloved and will be missed by many long-time and very dear friends, nieces, nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 16 at 3:00pm at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel - 11765 224th Street, Maple Ridge
