Joan was a cheeky old bag, and a total lady. I did her hair for the last few years of her life and I can quite honestly say she was one of my favourite clients. I appreciated her wit and charm, and though our time together every month was brief, I thoroughly enjoyed it. She always had a kind word for the ladies in the shop and I admire that she spoke her mind unapologetically. She spoke often of her children and how proud she was and how much she loved them all. Joan was a fantastic story teller and I appreciated her honesty. I am honoured that she chose to share so many special memories, secrets and thoughts with me over the years.
